My April Favourites

 1. Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Lip Balm

This is my all time favourite lip balm. Unlike most people my lips get very dry and chapped in the summer time not the winter. This stuff is the only thing I’ve found that helps them. Honestly has saved me so many times and I can’t say enough good things about this product.

2. Essence Make Me Brow

I tried this recently after hearing that it was very similar to Benefit’s Gimme Brow  and it definitely is true. This stuff is so pigmented and stays on all day. The brush is also so nice for keeping your brows exactly where you want them. I also prefer the colour of this one to the Gimme Brow. Mine is in the lighter shade.

3. The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matte Nude Liquid Lipstick in ‘COMMITTED’

I have tried so many liquid lipsticks and this is by far my favourite formulation. It stays on literally all day (unless you eat greasy food). This colour is also so nice for spring as it’s a sort of pinky coral shade. I just wish that this was sold in Canada rather than having to pay the ridiculous shipping costs from the Balm. I got this sample in an ipsy bag and I’m worried about when it runs out.

4.Benefit Hoola Bronzer

I think everyone and their mother has talked about the Hoola Bronzer so I don’t want to say too much here. 10/10!

5. Hawaiin Tropic Face Sunscreen

I am very pale and get sun burnt very easily. I love this stuff because it stops that from happening but it also provides such a nice glow to the skin. It’s not shimmery or glittery at all just makes you look bright and alive. I don’t wear foundation as I often can’t find a shade pale enough to suit my skin tone (what a problem to have) and this is such a nice base for my makeup as well.

6. Maybelline Lash Sensational

This is my all time favourite mascara and I use it probably every day. I’ve tried so many and although some come close, nothing has ever beat the curl that this mascara gives my lashes!

7. Nars Albatross Highlighter

This is the only highlighter I have ever owned. So I don’t have much to compare it too. Although the fact that a makeup addict like myself has never felt the need to buy another highlighter speaks volumes about how nice this highlight is.

8. Still Cosmetics Powder Brush

Lastly, I want to talk about the Still brushes in general, but specifically the powder brush. These brushes are sold at Walmart and are the cheapest brushes I’ve ever come across. That being said they are also the softest brushes I’ve ever used that weren’t Real Techniques. Definitely a great option for the beauty lover on a budget!

Thanks for reading!

  1. “I often can’t find a shade pale enough to suit my skin tone” I hear you! I make do with Max Factor’s Pan Stik in 25 Fair – which is actually too dark for me. The Pan Stik foundation is the best I’ve ever used – but I’d be happier if they had any lighter shades.

Nice picks, by the way! 🙂
