DIY Daisy Dresser

Fairly recently I moved into a new place and was hit with a bit of interior design fever. I designed my whole room around a new duvet cover I got from IKEA. It’s all navies and whites. So I wanted to my dresser to go with the theme.Around the time I was moving, I also got a new kitten named daisy! And all of that is what inspired me to make a daisy dresser!

So, I’m going to set up the creation of the dresser into steps for you guys that way you can make one too if you want! This also doesn’t have to be daisies, but any lace pattern that appeals to you. Here’s what you’ll need to start first:

  • Dresser
  • Bucket of base colour (blue in picture) paint
  • Can of accent colour (white in picture) spray paint
  • Handles
  • Paintbrushes

Firstly, you need to cover the entire dresser, including the front of the drawers, in two coats of the base colour you wish.

Make sure not to put too much paint where the drawers need to fit closed!

Once all of that is dry, you’re going to want to lay the drawers flat with the front surface facing up! Lay a section of the lace you’ve chosen over the drawers, making sure it is positioned correctly. Then lightly spray the accent colour through the lace making sure not to let the paint soak through. Once you’re done spraying carefully remove the lace right away. One coat should do it!

And voila! Let it dry, screw in the handles and you’re all done. Here’s the finished product:
